Everything you need to know about Konami ID, which data syncs across devices, how to move accounts between phones, and what the platform restrictions actually mean.
Konami ID is the central identity layer for all eFootball accounts. Understanding it is essential for managing your progress safely.
A Konami ID is a free account (email + password) registered at id.konami.net. It acts as your identity across Konami games, including eFootball. Your eFootball squad data is attached to a Konami ID, not to a physical device.
Your squad, GP, coins, and match history are all stored on Konami's servers. This means you cannot "lose" your data by dropping your phone — as long as you remember your login credentials, your account is safe.
Your Konami ID can be linked to PS5, mobile, and PC simultaneously, but each platform maintains a separate eFootball squad. The teams do not merge or share players across platforms — they are completely independent.
When you purchase an eFootball account from a marketplace, you get access to one platform's account (e.g., the PS5 account or the mobile account). Always confirm which platform you are buying before paying.
Not everything in your eFootball account is cross-device. Know exactly what carries over before moving platforms.
Follow these exact steps. Deviating at step 3 (playing as Guest) will create a new empty account that overwrites your session.
Download and install eFootball on your new Android or iOS device
Open the game and wait for initial data download to complete
On the start screen, tap "Log In" — never tap "Play as Guest"
Select "Log in with Konami ID" from the options
Enter your registered Konami ID email address and password
If 2FA is enabled, complete the authentication step
Your account will sync from the server — squad, GP, coins, and match history load automatically
These are the most frequently reported linking issues and their solutions.
Update eFootball to the latest version. The Konami ID link is in Settings → Account on mobile.
You likely tapped "Play as Guest" instead of "Log In". Delete the app, reinstall, and start fresh with the login option.
Check if your Konami ID is locked after failed attempts. Use the password reset function at id.konami.net and try again.
You may have multiple Konami IDs. Ensure you are using the exact email tied to the account you want.
Try on a PC browser rather than mobile browser. Konami's linking pages sometimes have mobile rendering issues.
When you buy an eFootball account from a marketplace, you are buying the Konami ID credentials for a specific platform's squad (PS5, mobile, or PC). Always confirm the platform before purchasing. After buying, you can move the account to any device on that same platform (e.g., any Android phone for a mobile account, any PS5 for a PS5 account) by logging in with the Konami ID.
eFootball uses the Konami ID system, but cross-platform account sharing is restricted. Your eFootball team data (squad, players, GP, coins) is tied to the platform you created it on — PS5, mobile (iOS/Android), or PC. You can link the same Konami ID to multiple platforms for identity purposes, but your squad data does not transfer between platforms. A PS5 account has a separate squad from the same Konami ID on mobile.
Data that transfers via Konami ID across devices on the SAME platform (e.g., mobile to mobile): Your full squad, GP balance, coins balance, match history, division rank, and skill cards. Data that does NOT transfer across different platforms: Platform-exclusive player skins, PS5 exclusive kits/cosmetics, console-specific DLC items. Your core competitive squad data is always tied to one platform type.
To access your eFootball account on a new phone: 1) Install eFootball on the new device, 2) On the start screen, select "Log In" rather than "Play as Guest", 3) Choose "Log in with Konami ID", 4) Enter your Konami ID email and password, 5) Your full squad, GP, and progress will load automatically from the server. The account is server-side on mobile — you do not need to transfer any files. This process takes 2-5 minutes.
To link your PS5 eFootball to a Konami ID: 1) In eFootball on PS5, go to the main menu → Settings → Konami ID, 2) Select "Link Konami ID", 3) You can either create a new Konami ID or link to an existing one, 4) Complete the linking via the Konami website on your phone or PC (a QR code or URL is provided), 5) Once linked, you can access account settings, receive Konami communications, and use the Konami ID for future platform moves.
On mobile, your eFootball progress is stored on Konami's servers linked to your Konami ID. As long as you remember your Konami ID email and password, changing phones does not cause any data loss. Install eFootball on the new phone, log in with your Konami ID, and your full squad and progress will load immediately. Never play as a Guest — Guests cannot transfer data to new devices.
No. eFootball does not allow simultaneous play on two devices with the same account. If you log in on a second device, the session on the first device will typically be terminated. The game detects dual logins and disconnects one. This is also a security protection — if someone else tries to log into your account while you are active, you will be kicked off, alerting you to potential unauthorised access.
